Honda has officially launched its two new motorcycles – Honda CB125 Hornet and Shine 100 DX – in India. Both the bikes have brought new hope in their respective segments. While the CB125 Hornet targets sporty youngsters, the Shine 100 DX is all set to win over everyone as a reliable and economical commuter bike. Honda CB125 Hornet has entered the market with a bold and aggressive street naked design. Its launch price has been kept at ₹ 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram) which is an attractive offer for this segment. This bike is specially designed for those riders who like youthful energy and sporty looks. Its sculpted fuel tank and segment-first golden upside-down front forks give the bike a premium feel. This bike has been launched at a price of ₹ 74,959 (ex-showroom) and comes with some key updates to make the already established Shine 100 even better. The design of this bike comes with a traditional commuter tone, but the new updates give it a fresh feel.
This time there are subtle chrome accents around the headlamp and muffler cover. The graphics have also been refreshed and the grab rails are in a new design. The engine has been given a blacked-out finish which gives the bike a cleaner and modern look. The long seat has been retained which is very important for the comfort of both the rider and the pillion.
Shine 100 DX Features That Make Everyday Travel Easy
The Shine 100 DX gets a 98.98 cc single-cylinder engine that comes with Honda’s eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology. This engine delivers 7.28 hp at 7,500 rpm and 8.04 Nm torque at 5,000 rpm. Power is managed by a four-speed transmission. The bike gets telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers that are adjustable, and you also get drum brakes which are standard in the commuter segment.
A new basic LCD instrument panel has been given that gets service alerts and real-time mileage readouts – which is a quite practical feature for daily commuters. High levels of local sourcing and well-established service network make this bike quite promising for long term use.
Bookings Start, Delivery From Mid-August
Bookings for both the bikes – Honda CB125 Hornet and Shine 100 DX – have now started and delivery is expected from mid-August 2025.
