Triumph Thruxton 400 Launch in India – Journey of a Retro Style Modern Bike
A Cafe Racer Dream Comes True
Sometimes a bike is not just a ride – it is a feeling, a connection that is formed between the rider and the machine. And when it comes to Triumph Thruxton 400, the beginning is of a different level. There is a great news for motorcycle lovers – Triumph Thruxton 400 is going to be officially launched in India on 6 August 2025. For those who are crazy about cafe racer bikes, this is like a dream coming true.
The Buzz Before the Launch
This bike created a buzz for the past few days when it was spotted without any camouflage during a commercial shoot. Now Triumph has confirmed that the Thruxton 400 is going to be the new member of their 400 cc family. This family already includes popular models like the Speed 400, Scrambler 400, Speed T4 and the Scrambler 400 XC. But the Thruxton 400 looks different from all of them – its styling itself is such that it directly reminds us of the retro era.
Design Inspired by Heritage, Crafted for Today

The most distinctive feature of the Thruxton 400 is its half fairing design, which is inspired by the bigger Thruxton models. The fairing is not just a cosmetic feature but defines the character of the bike and completes its retro look. The clip-on handlebars get bar-end mirrors on both sides which give the bike a classic cafe racer touch. The pillion seat is replaced by a painted cowl at the rear, which further enhances its old-school design. But Triumph may also offer a dual-seat option – either in standard form or as an optional accessory. The model spotted during the shoot had a dual-tone red and silver finish, which looked quite premium and eye-catching. The design of the tank and side panels is similar to that of the Speed 400, but the overall styling gives this bike a distinct identity.
Performance Engineered for Everyday and Beyond
Now if we talk about the performance and engine, no major changes have been made here – which is also a good thing. The Thruxton 400 is powered by the same 399 cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC single-cylinder engine that is also powered by the Speed and Scrambler 400. This engine generates maximum power of 39.5 bhp and a peak torque of 37.5 Nm. This engine will be paired to a six-speed gearbox and a slipper and assist clutch will be offered as standard features. Triumph could revise the gearing of the bike slightly to match its cafe racer character – so that the performance becomes more engaging, especially when you’re cornering or cruising on the highway. Talking about features, the bike will come with the same features as its 400 cc siblings, with modern safety and convenience given full attention to.
Expected Pricing and Market Positioning
As far as pricing is concerned, it is expected that the Thruxton 400 will be priced at around Rs. It can be had for around Rs. 2.80 lakh. At this price point, it will be slightly more expensive than the Speed 400 but cheaper than the Scrambler 400 series. Thus, the bike becomes a perfect middle ground for riders who want the cafe racer look but are also looking for a practical and performance-oriented machine.
Thruxton 400: More Than Just a Motorcycle
The biggest strength of the Thruxton 400 is its styling and character – this bike is for riders who want to stand out with their ride, who appreciate the fusion of heritage and modern engineering. With a retro look, half fairing, painted cowl, and classic clip-ons, this bike is a complete package that is set to become not just a mode of transport, but a lifestyle statement.
A Perfect Blend of Design, Power, and Passion

Triumph has created a formula where the perfect combination of reliability, performance and timeless design has been given. For those looking to buy a premium bike for the first time, or just want a unique classic-style bike in their garage, the Thruxton 400 is the perfect choice.
Countdown to Launch – Excitement at Its Peak
As August 6 approaches, the excitement in the motorcycle community is growing. For Triumph enthusiasts, this bike is not just a new model – it’s a dream come true experience. If you want to taste modern performance with retro soul, then Thruxton 400 can be a perfect companion for you.
