Bajaj Auto July Sales up 3%: Exports show big decline, Domestic Demand falls
Whenever we talk about India’s automobile sector, Bajaj Auto’s name always comes on top. This brand is known for its solid presence not only in the country but also abroad. The July 2025 sales data has once again proved that Bajaj Auto’s global game is strong. This time the company has shown an overall growth of 3% in July – where the domestic market has failed a bit, the export market performed strongly and saved the company’s honor.
Bajaj Auto July Sales up 3%: Exports made a difference
Bajaj Auto sold a total of 3,66,000 vehicles in July 2025, which is 3% more than 3,54,169 units last year. These figures show that the company has maintained its balance despite difficult circumstances. Demand in the domestic market declined slightly, but exports showed tremendous growth and pulled the entire sales graph up.
In the month of July, exports saw a rapid growth of 28% – 1,82,857 units were sold, while last year this number was 1,43,172. This growth was mainly due to two-wheelers and commercial vehicles. Two-wheeler exports jumped 22%, and 1,56,968 units were sold. But the most surprising thing was that commercial vehicle exports jumped a record 79% – 25,889 units were sold, which was almost double compared to last year.
Slowdown in domestic market, but commercial vehicles provided some relief

If we talk about domestic sales, there was a decline of 13% in July 2025. The company sold a total of 1,83,143 units, while last year this number was 2,10,997. The biggest blow was felt by the two-wheeler segment where there was a decline of 18% and only 1,39,279 units were sold. One reason for this could be weak demand in the market, rising fuel prices, and the lull period before the festive season.
However, the commercial vehicles segment created some balance, where growth of 4% was seen. That is, if the commercial vehicle segment was not there, the overall performance of the domestic market would have been even weaker.
April to July Snapshot: Foreign Business
If we look at the data from April to July 2025, the company sold a total of 14,77,237 vehicles. This is just 1% more than last year’s 14,56,225 units, but behind this stability, the export market has a big hand.
In this 4-month period, Bajaj Auto showed a growth of 19% in exports and sent a total of 6,59,286 units abroad. While domestic sales fell by 9% to 8,17,951 units. That is, if there was no export market, the overall numbers would have fallen.
Commercial vehicle exports also showed their presence here and the company seems to be getting a footing in new emerging markets. This shows that Bajaj Auto is not just a local player, but has become a strong global contender.
Conclusion: Global strategy is building Bajaj’s strength

Bajaj Auto’s July 2025 performance teaches us that if one market is down, other markets can fill that gap – only the strategy should be right. The company has secured its position by increasing focus on export markets. Where there are challenges in the domestic market, global presence has become a safety net for them.
In the future, if Bajaj Auto manages the sentiment of the domestic market wisely, the overall growth speed can be even faster. One thing is for sure – Bajaj Auto will keep moving forward with its global vision and adaptability.
